ECS Will Market and Sell All of Ubiquiti's Product Lines to Resellers in China, Malaysia and the Philippines
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 15, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:UBNT), today announced a distribution agreement with ECS, a major technology distributor with over 24,500 active channel partners in China, Malaysia and the Philippines.
The agreement represents a strategic move for Ubiquiti's expansion into Asian markets to bring its industry-defining broadband and enterprise solutions to customers by leveraging one of the strongest distributor networks in the region. By expanding their offerings to include Ubiquiti's leading edge platforms, ECS is providing its customers with a compelling choice for fixed-wireless broadband and enterprise technology.
"We regard Ubiquiti as a comprehensive, intuitive and disruptively priced proposition for our broadband and enterprise customers," said Jian Hui Ma, Vice General Manager of ECS. "We're incredibly excited to offer their innovative products to our channel."
ECS will immediately begin marketing, selling and supporting all of the company's leading edge platforms for service providers (airMA, airFiber and EdgeMAX) and enterprises (UniFi, UniFi Video and mFi) to its network. ECS' broad reseller base will augment Ubiquiti's existing service provider-focused distribution channel and contribute to the company's growth in key enterprise vertical markets, such as education, healthcare, security and hospitality.
"Expanding Ubiquiti's presence in Asia is one of our top priorities and ECS is the ideal partner to help us achieve that goal," said Chris Usher, Manager, International Business Development of Ubiquiti Networks. "We expect ECS' experience, execution and reach to accelerate our growth throughout the region."
Ubiquiti's global network of distributors brings the company's broadband and enterprise innovations to resellers in 180 countries on six continents in the world. More than 20 million devices have been sold since the company was founded in 2005.
