Ubiquiti Partners With India's Largest Technology Distributor to Bring Its Broadband and Enterprise Networking Solutions to Businesses and Residences Throughout India
SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 22, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Ubiquiti Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq:UBNT), today announced a strategic distribution agreement with Redington, the largest supply chain solution provider in emerging markets throughout the world. Under this agreement, Redington will market and distribute Ubiquiti's leading-edge broadband and enterprise networking solutions to its vast network of channel partners throughout India.
"Redington is always looking for innovative solutions that represent exciting growth opportunities for our resellers and their customers," said Anand Chakravarthy, Head - Strategic Business Unit of Redington. "Ubiquiti's products are unique because the company offers high-performance networking technology for a fraction of the cost of traditional solutions."
Ubiquiti's highly advanced and easily deployable technology platforms are ideal for the underserved and underpenetrated markets of Redington's customer base. A differentiated business model, combined with innovative proprietary technologies, has resulted in an attractive alternative to traditional high-touch, high-cost equipment providers. Redington will immediately begin marketing, selling and supporting all of the Ubiquiti's platforms for service providers (airMAX, airFiber and EdgeMAX) and enterprises (UniFi, UniFi Video and mFi).
"Ubiquiti is constantly seeking ways to increase penetration in emerging markets like India so our strategic partnership with Redington was an easy decision," said Chris Usher, Manager, International Business Development of Ubiquiti Networks. "This relationship will be an additional catalyst for our company's growth, particularly driving demand in key enterprise verticals such as education, healthcare, security and hospitality."
Ubiquiti's global network of distributors brings the company's broadband and enterprise innovations to resellers in 180 countries on six continents in the world. More than 20 million devices have been sold since the company was founded in 2005.
